Mrs. Irene Christodoulou, MEng., MBA, graduated from the School of Mining and Metallurgical Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens. Since 2007, she has served as an Educator and Senior Researcher in a multitude of EU-funded projects for industrial innovation for sustainability in the Raw Materials (RM) Sector at the Laboratory of Metallurgy, NTUA. After 2022 she expanded her interests in fields such as circular economy and the emerging Social License to Operate (SLO) field. During the same period, she held senior roles in life-long learning projects aimed at building stakeholder trust, managing community engagement, and aligning organizational goals with sustainable development objectives to ensure long-term operational success and positive societal impact of RM projects. Currently, she holds communications advisory roles for RM organizations in the fields of her expertise and serves as an executive director for Science Media and editor-in-chief for RAWMATHUB.GR, the first Greek news hub for the RM Sector. Balancing a demanding career path with raising three children has been among her greatest challenges and achievements.
