Dr. Alexandra-Sophia Togia

Dr. Alexandra-Sophia Togia is an Economist, holding a PhD in the Socio-Economics of Development and having conducted postdoctoral research on the evaluation of European policies for Municipal Solid Waste management. Since October 2023, she has been serving as Chief Executive Officer of the Hellenic Recycling Agency (HRA). She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Natural Environment and Climate Change Organization (NECCA) and has previously served as Director at the International Development Cooperation Service (YDAS 4) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

She has extensive professional and research experience in Greece and France, having worked as a Special Scientific Associate and Consultant for companies and institutions in both the public and private sectors, focusing on circular economy, alternative solid waste management, climate change, and the design and management of co-financed development programs
