Dr. Christos Tsitouras

Governor of the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority

Dr. Christos Tsitouras is a graduate of the Department of Mechanical Engineering of “The City University of New York”, holder of the following degrees: Ph.D., M.Ph., M.Eng. and B.Sc.. He worked for a decade as a lecturer and research fellow in the Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics Department of the City College of New York, USA. He has been a member of various scientific institutes, while his articles have been published in prestigious scientific journals abroad.
He has served in key and crucial management positions in both the public and private sector in Greece and abroad.
More specifically, Mr. Tsitouras served in the following positions:
– The Managing Director of “HELLENIC ALUMINA INDUSTRY, S.A. (ELVA)”, Athens, Greece.
– Managing Director and General Manager of “ERGOSE – Hellenic Railways Organization Projects S.A.”, Athens, Greece.
– Chairman of the BoD and Managing Director of “ATTIKO METRO S.A”, Athens, Greece.
Dr. Tsitouras was appointed as HCAA Governor by a presidential decree in August 2020.
