Dr Efthymia (Efi) Tritopoulou is a Chemical Engineer holding a PhD diploma from National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), with more than twenty five years of experience in a range of R&D activities, specialized in sustainability and circular economy, waste management, prevention, reuse, recycling, energy and climate plans, RES and energy saving. She
has coordinated and participated in the implementation of over 50 European and National Programs and in this context has collaborated with Public and Private Bodies and many Municipalities and is aware of national and local government
issues.
Today is a Senior Researcher cooperating with NTUA, General Manager of FILTA S.A. a Producer Responsibility Organization for the prevention of littering from Tobacco Products (to be approved by Hellenic Recycling Agency), President of the
NGO NoWaste21 , President of the Greek Women’s Engineering Association ( EDEM ) which has approximately 1500 members, female engineers members of Technical Chamber of Greece, and is a member of the European Network European
Association of Women in Science Engineering & Technology (WiTEC).
She has cooperated as a Researcher Engineer with public bodies like National Technical University of Athens (2023-today), ATHENA RC (2020-2022), Hellenic Recycling Agency (2013-2018), Centre of Renewable Energy Sources and Saving
(2006-2013), Agricultural University of Athens (2005-2006), and with Privates Bodies and many Municipalities providing services as Environmental Consultant and Circular Economy expert.
She knows English and French and she is also a proposal evaluator in General Secretariat for Research and Technology (GSRT) and reviewer in Waste Management & Research (WM&R) presenting also a lot of published papers in scientific journals.
