Head of Sustainability Advocacy EMEA at Indorama Ventures PCL
A dual Greek – Belgian citizen, Ermis Panagiotopoulos holds a bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Water Management and Agriculture Engineering (Greece), a master’s degree (MSc) in Environmental Science from Wageningen University (Netherlands) and an MA in International Politics (Belgium).
Ermis has been living and working in Brussels since 2006. He has held positions in environmental NGOs, the European Commission, and industry associations. He currently serves as Head of Sustainability Advocacy for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) at Indorama Ventures PCL. In addition, he is a board member of EUROPEN (i.e. EU packaging association) and RECOUP (UK recycling association) as well as he chairs the Advocacy Working Group at PETCORE Europe (EU PET value chain association). In these roles, he drives impactful collaborations across the packaging and recycling value chain. His broad expertise spans agriculture, energy, trade, water, waste management and the circular economy.
