George Christopoulos specialises in intelligence, communications, and institutional positioning, with over 25 years of experience as a geostrategic intelligence analyst, communications professional, and marketing manager across companies and organisations.
He serves as Intelligence & Communication Officer at the Euro-Mediterranean Economists Association (EMEA), a Barcelona-based regional think tank bringing together a network of over 90 partner universities and research institutions across 34 countries, where he is responsible for the organisation’s brand positioning, communications, and public visibility.
His work includes the communication of the Brain Capital Initiative and the Brain Capital Alliance, advancing the brain economy — a rapidly emerging global framework at the intersection of brain health, brain skills, economic resilience, and human flourishing — as well as communication support for several affiliated academic and policy networks, including the EU-Mediterranean and African Network for Economic Studies (EMANES) and the Euro-Mediterranean Guarantee Network (EMGN).
As part of the EMEA team, he has participated in the United Nations Climate Change Conferences COP27, COP28, COP29, and COP30.
He also holds the position of Marketing Director at Apogee Information Systems, an IT company specialising in e-learning, web applications, and content management systems.
Previously, George worked as a senior consultant in geostrategic intelligence, crisis communication, and institutional positioning for major corporations and institutions, with responsibilities including threat monitoring, political and competitive intelligence, crisis analysis, positioning advice, and the development of communication plans.
In February 2022, he was awarded the Gold Cross of Sabbas the Sanctified by the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Alexandria and All Africa, in recognition of his service and contributions to regional cooperation.
