Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hellenic Republic
Tasos Chatzivasileiou PhD has been an elected Member of Parliament for Serres with Nea Demokratia since 2019. In January 2025, he was appointed as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, responsible for Economic Diplomacy and Extroversion. From June 2026, he serves as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, responsible for European Affairs. He is an Assistant Professor of International Relations and the EU at the Hellenic American University (New Hampshire, USA).
Since December 2019, he has been serving as International Secretary of Nea Demokratia.
He speaks English, French, Turkish and Spanish.
